Native Trees and Shrubs

In recent years there has been a growing interest in planting native plants. They are not only beautiful, but are generally easier to maintain, AND also benefit the native birds and wildlife that live among us. But many gardeners forget “natives” also applies to trees and shrubs. Many of these, like the Burr Oak (Quercus macrocarpa), are hot spots of biodiversity that can ironically keep pest populations down. Some bear delicious banana-type fruit like the Paw Paw (Asimina triloba), while others are terrific nut producers like the American Filbert (Corylus americana). Some are aesthetically pleasing like the Eastern Redbud (Cercis canadensis). All  have adapted to our weather, soils, and pests. which can give them an edge over non-natives.

We receive our native trees and shrubs from a well respected nursery that boasts a 95% success rate with all of its trees and shrubs. They do this by implementing their patented Root Production Method, which vastly improves their root system and translates into healthier, quicker-growing and longer-lasting trees. If well-cared for, the right tree will provide you with years of enjoyment, increase the the value of your property, and leave a legacy lasting for generations.
